Taishin FHC Supported Earth Hour by Turning Off Lights for One Hour
Taishin FHC encourages the public to take action against global climate change and the increase in extreme weather events by supporting the global “Earth Hour” initiative launched by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). Taishin FHC will voluntarily switch off the neon lights and electronic scroll on the Taishin Financial Holdings Building, Neihu Building, and Jianbei Building from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. tomorrow (March 27). We shall use real actions by switching off energy-consuming lighting equipment to express our support and fulfill the corporate social responsibility for sustainable development.
“Earth Hour” was launched by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in 2007. The event encourages supporting companies to turn off the lights for one hour from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. on the last Saturday of March at company premises to call on the public to value the energy, face up to climate change, and actively care about the challenges faced by Earth.
