Taishin Awarded Asia-Pacific Stevie® Awards, First Company in Taiwan to Receive Award for Innovation in Human Resources Management, Planning & Practice

(2019/6/3) Taishin FHC has a way with human resource management! After Taishin FHC was awarded an Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Award in the "Investment in People" category from Enterprise Asia on May 24, Taishin Bank was further awarded a Silver Asia-Pacific Stevie® Awards for Innovation in Human Resources Management, Planning & Practice on May 31. Taishin Bank is, notably, also the first Taiwanese company to receive the Award for Innovation in Human Resources Management. Taishin's human resource management initiatives have won both international recognition, and glory for Taiwan.

The Asia-Pacific Stevie® Awards is an important business award that recognizes the achievements of enterprises in 29 countries throughout the Asia-Pacific region and widely recognized as a top global business award. The Stevie have been awarded for 17 years; they continue to highlight extraordinary accomplishments by enterprises in the Asia-Pacific region. More than 900 businesspeople from the Asia-Pacific region helped jury the various award categories this year. The award ceremony was held at the InterContinental Hotel in Singapore on May 31. Taishin Bank performed well in the Innovation in Human Resources Management, Planning & Practice category, receiving recognition with the Silver Award.

Taishin Bank’s President, Oliver Shang, stated that "integrity, commitment, innovation, and cooperation" are Taishin's core values, and that innovation is deeply rooted in Taishin's DNA. Taishin Bank won the Triple E human resource management mechanism award by keeping employees' voices in mind. Taishin gains deep understanding of employee needs through innovative distributed listening mechanisms. By using people-oriented and innovative design, Taishin is able to plan human resource management initiatives. This includes planning comprehensive training mechanisms for employees at all levels, creating a digital learning environment not constrained by time or place, and a rich and diverse family interaction mechanism. These innovations effectively improve employee productivity and strengthen employee engagement. These concrete results won praise from the award organizers. The organizers stated that Taishin Bank truly regards employee engagement as the key to sustainable business management. Effectively increasing employee engagement through a sound human resource management structure makes employees willing to devote themselves to serving customers, and to view the growth of the Company as their personal responsibility. Taishin has a very innovative and impressive human resource management mechanism.

Taishin FHC's human resources development management has received many domestic and international awards in recent years, including a Best Companies to Work for in Asia award from HR ASIA Magazine, and the Best Employee Engagement Initiative award from prestigious global financial institution, The Asian Banker.
