Taishin FHC Holds Northern Mountain Clean Up Hiking Event, Nearly 1,000 Employees and Family Members Turn Out

(2019/5/27) This year's Northern Taishin FHC Mountain Clean-Up Hiking Event was held at Bihu Elementary School in Neihu District, Taipei, on May 18th. Nearly a thousand colleagues and their families carried environmentally-friendly garbage bags and picked up trash left in the forest along the Bihu and Yuanjue Temple Trail. There was a brief splash of rain, but it just served to cool everyone off a bit. With the detailed planning and guidance, this event emphasizing both health and environment educational was brought to another successful close. The hiking event helped Taishin FHC to convey the importance of environmental protection and healthy living.

This was the 16th year running for the event. The Taishin FHC hiking event is always held in local suburbs or forests, separated into either the Northern, Central, and Southern district each year. About 2,000 employees and their family members participate each time, regardless of weather conditions. The event has always included health and parent-child fun; in the past two years, the element of environmental sustainability has been added to make the hiking event even more meaningful. Taishin FHC employees from each district can enjoy the beauty of nature with their families, while at the same time contributing to environmental protection.

Other than hiking events, Taishin FHC has also established various athletic groups to provide employees with options for making friends, networking and engaging in healthy leisure activities after work. Groups include golf, softball, badminton, basketball, table tennis, yoga, aerobics, kick-boxing, and more; locations are spread across all parts of Taiwan. Taishin FHC's Joint Employee Welfare Committee also organizes occasional sports events. Employees and their families are encouraged to join in and make exercise a daily habit, thus achieving the goals of caring for and taking care of Taishin employees. Taishin FHC has been awarded an iSports Certification by the Ministry of Education for many years running. In 2018, Taishin was even included in both Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI) World and Emerging Market , with qualifications in four areas: Strong capitalization; good management capacity; international expansion capacity; and good corporate social responsibility. This demonstrates Taishin's outstanding performance.
